The Hamilton Music Awards swept the city with recognition for local artists last night.
Ronnie Hawkins received a Lifetime Acheivement Award, along with Richard Newell aka King Biscuit Boy (he got that name form Ronnie, who has a tendency to come up with effective nick names - ask Crowbar), who was honoured postumously.
Oh What a Feeling, What a Rush! when the whole stage joined Kelly Jay as he broke into that song to finish the night.
Stay tuned for some great shots - (the stage was all decked out for filming and that's when you get the best lighting) You'll see even see Garth Hudson of The Band fame in there with the accordian! |
