What a treat for the people of Hamilton last night who got a big bang for their buck with The Trews at The Underground with openers Beautiful Nothing from Burlington and Toronto's Rocketface.
Special guest was familiar Dave Rave of Teenage Head days, to do the back-bending ChaCha with Jack Syperek.

The Trews have quite a few loyal followers in this city from early days when they were regulars at The Mermaid.
The first time we saw them was also in Hamilton - April 2004 at the Casbah and we were HOOKED.
Their fans have seen them pump out consistently good rock 'n roll hits after year after year. Not only that, but the Trews never seem to tire from the high-energy stage show either.
They do this thing at every show where they blend a classic rock song by the Doors, the Stones, the Beatles, into their one of own songs - very chique! You should all have heard the Hey Jude blend they do with I'm So Tired Of Waiting. This shows how they have been influenced by the music that rocked our world in the '60s and '70s.
The Trews have earned recognition form the fans* in recording sales and on the radio. With 2 gold (over 500,000 sold) albums, they've had 10 hits make the charts, with 2 going to No.1.
*A current hot topic in the Music Scene is.. Why did they not even get a nomination at the Junos? Were they on the same "Miss Me" list as ECMA sweepers Matt Mays + El Torpedo? How can the Junos expect to maintain any credibility when Best Album considers a collection of Christmas songs by Diana Krall over the likes of "Den Of Thieves" which is rocking us all year long?
See the Trews on Monday night at the Vibe, Peterborough - get your tickets (only $15) early - they have a reputation for selling out.
You get to see Rocketface too - rockin' 3 piece band with drum-stick-twirling frontman, and a band called Superstack.
Let loose for a Monday night - you will see that, yes, rock 'n roll has been sleeping for 20 years...but it's BACK.
