He's Back.
Back at Massey Hall on Saturday night, December 17th.

This was The Hawk in finest form with all the new Hawks and they took us all back in time for some good old fashioned rock, the way it was supposed to be played.
His humour and quick wit kept us all in stitches between songs, too.

Ronnie sang us oldies from Elvis, to his own 'Mary-Lou' and his Juno-winner 'Days Gone By'.
His band:
Ryan Weber (upright bass/vocals), Sam Weber (lead guitar/vocals), Shai Peer (keyboard), Shane Pinchen (acoustic/electric guitar) and Jeff Webster (drums).
Many of Ronnie's local fans made the show - even George Chuvalo, Ronnie's boxing hero.
Ronnie introduced many of his buddies in the audience, had them stand, and thanked them and all his fans for their support over the years. He talked about how Massey Hall was one of the first venues he played in 1958 when he first came to "the Promised Land", and how fitting it is that he performs here again, almost 50 years later, full circle.

Ronnie closed his set with Ellas McDaniel's "Bo Diddley", one of the songs Ronnie is most known for.

Opening was fabulous singer with long-holding high notes, Angela Scappatura and established Toronto Blues favourite The Checkmates.

See Ronnie and the boys next at The Stratford Winter Festival on Jan. 28, 2006.
